Mr. St-Jacques founded Vior in 1984 and currently serves as President of the company. He is also the founder of Mazarin and Virginia Gold Mines and was President of different mining companies such as Dufresnoy and Ormico Exploration (which later became Osisko Mining Corporation). Mr. St-Jacques graduated from Laval University in Quebec City with a Management degree. During his career in the mining industry, Mr. St-Jacques held such distinctive positions as General Director of the Prospectors Association of Quebec (APQ) in 1982.
Marc L'Heureux, P.Geo., M.A.Sc.
Vice-President of Exploration
Mr. L’Heureux is an experienced geologist with a tenure of more than 25 years in the industry. He worked on gold, nickel, base metals, and diamond projects in North and Latin America. He served for many major companies such as Cambior, Falconbridge and Barrick. After 1997, he worked for junior corporations such as Boreal Exploration, GlobeStar Mining, Majescor Resources and Everton Resources. Mr. L’Heureux holds a degree in Geology from the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM) and a Master Degree in Earth Sciences (Applied Geochemistry) from the University of Quebec in Chicoutimi. He is also a member in good standing of the Ordre des géologues du Québec (OGQ).
Chief of the Finance Departments
A graduate of Université Laval since 1983, Mr. Mercier holds a bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting option. He has more than 27 years of experience in mineral exploration. Mr. Mercier has held various executive positions in finance as well as the position of secretary for various mining companies including Virginia Mines and Osisko Exploration. He was Controller of the Company from 1989 until his appointment and as Chief Financial Officer since 2004.
